We just sent one of our Duffy’s out again today, and what a day it was for those sleek and sexy vehicles.  I tell you, those boats have it all.  They’ve got a covered top and windows so they can keep you warm and toasty, but you can can also zip up those windows if the sun comes out and does some warming of its own.  With the weather we’ve been having–those cloudy mornings that can just as likely bring sun, rain, or wind–you want a boat that can accommodate all kinds of weather.  While these boats aren’t fast (6 knots tops) they’re great for cruising around the harbor with friends and family.  Both our Duffies have centrally located tables so they’re great for eating any meal or even a simple snack.  These bundles of fun are also perfect for those of you who don’t have all that much boating experience.  Take the group that went out today for example: they had only piloted Boston Whalers on lakes.  With a few instructions and pointers, they were handling that Duffy like a pro. All you have to use is a simple throttle and steering wheel, after all.  Oh, and did I mention that these boats are electric?  That’s right, with an engine that makes barely any noise you’ll be sneaking up in wildlife like none other.  So if you’re in Friday Harbor and you want to get out on the water, but you don’t have much boating experience, come on down to Friday Harbor Marine and get down in one of our Duffies.  Because when you’re in a Duffy, it’s always going on.
