Nov 2010 What’s Up, Dock?
Friday Harbor Waterfront Views By Capt Crabby I’ll tell you what’s up….the Salmon Mortality count. According to our local fisherpersons, this past season has landed the best commercial salmon haul in history. And the fishboats aren’t the only things riding low in the water. Tourists coming to Friday Harbor and going out on whale watch boats have been disappointed lately, also due to the salmon run. Oct 2010 What’s Up, Dock?
Friday Harbor Waterfront Views By Capt Crabby I’ll tell you what’s up. October. From the Latin “Octo”, meaning the eighth month, and the Latin “ber”, which means cooler. Jul 2010 What’s Up, Dock?
Friday Harbor Waterfront Views By Capt Cr’Ahab I’ll tell you what’s up. The Port of Friday Harbor is looking up with a new Laundromat, located right on the waterfront, just up the ramp from the new Floating Restrooms. And the rest of the waterfront has been spiffed up too, with a new metal roof up on the Spring Street Landing building, and the carved Welcoming Posts up above the live music in the waterfront park. New power pedestals are lighting up the docks, as 50amp service is now available for heating up those Jacuzzis on the swim platform. The Bakery [...]
